Patchwork Win for Mets

48,000 plus survived possible cardiac arrests at Shea today as they saw Jorge Julio earn his first save since 2004. The final score was 6-5 with the Braves stranding two on base.
The Mets win a game that did not come easily, but showed that they have guts and then some. Willie Randolph must be relieved that he did not have to go into the heart of his bullpen. Zambrano, Oliver, Fortunato, Bradford, Feliciano and Julio all combined for 13 strikeouts. This gave relievers Sanchez, Heilman, and Wagner a chance to rest after last nights marathon. Since the Mets must start Jose Lima tomorrow, they will welcome the rest from today.
The Mets are 12 over .500, have won another series and have a chance for a sweep. Lets hope Lima can show some of his old magic tomorrow in his first start of the season.
