NFL Ratings [J. Mark English]
The NFL is still the king of the television in the network ratings.
From Zap 2 It: Fueled by football, CBS averaged a 13.6 rating/20 share for the night (those numbers may change some because of the live broadcast). This was reported for this past Sunday night. It went on to say: The end of the Patriots-Chargers game and "60 Minutes" kept CBS in the lead at 8 p.m. with a 15.3/22.
FOX ruled the previous night: On Saturday, FOX ruled the night with its NFL playoff coverage, averaging 14.3/24.
During the weekend before: Big ratings for an NFL playoff game early Sunday helped FOX score a ratings win for the entire night, while NBC's new reality block got off to an OK start...FOX averaged a 9.9 rating/15 share for the night, though with live sports its numbers may change some in final nationals.
