It is with great pleasure that I write about the fact that Rod Brind'Amour has won the Frank J. Selke Trophy, the award for the most outstanding defensive forward, for the second year in a row. (The picture to the right was taken during last year's award ceremony, when his team also won the Stanley Cup. Spring of 2006 was a good time for Brindy)
This, of course, is no surprise to me, but then again I am a little biased.
Other 2007 award winners include:
Sidney Crosby - Hart Trophy (MVP to his team)
Martin Brodeur - Vezina Trophy (Outstanding Goalie)
Evgeni Malkin - Calder Trophy (Outstanding Rookie)
Niklas Lidstrom - Norris Trophy (Outstanding Defenseman)
Pavel Datsyuk - Lady Byng Trophy (Most gentlemanly player)
Alain Vigneault, Canucks - Jack Adams Trophy (Outstanding Coach)
