Everson Walls to Donate Kidney [J. Mark English]
One of my favorite New York Giants of all time (and long time Cowboy), Everson Walls, will be donating his Kidney to Shawn Spring's (of the Redskins) father. That is an incredible story, especially in this season of giving.
Everson Walls most memorable game was against the San Francisco 49ers in the 1981 NFC Championship game. In the game he had something like two interceptions, and two forced fumbles, but ultimately was remembered for covering Dwight Clark in the endzone, when the tight end caught "The Catch" from Joe Montana, leading the 49ers to their first of many Super Bowl victories.
Ten years later, Everson Walls appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in jubilation after helping the Giants defeat the Buffalo Bills in the Super Bowl XXV.
