Kevin Durant May Return to Texas [David Stefanini]
If you follow basketball by now you have heard the name Kevin Durant. Durant has become a freshman phenom at the University of Texas. Many people say he will be the first pick in the draft, but if he is not he will not fall lower than the second seed. However according to ESPN.com Durant's father says otherwise:
The father of Texas freshman Kevin Durant said it's not a sure thing the Big 12's leading scorer will enter June's NBA Draft.
"There's a chance he would come back to Texas next year," Durant's father, Wayne Pratt, told the Dallas Morning News. "Kevin is so young. There's not a rush for him to go to the NBA. Right now, we're not even talking about that. We're talking about winning the Big 12, and Kevin continuing to progress academically."
Comments:
It would be nuts of Durant not to go into the NBA. I have seen him play this season and he is the best college player I have seen since Carmelo Anthony. Durant looks like a man playing amongst boys this season. If he does well late in the season Durant will enter the NBA Draft and he will be the Rookie of the Year next season, that much I can promise. And if for some reason he stays another year at Texas, then he will be the Rookie of the Year in 2 years for the NBA. The kid is that good.
