A-Rod Hits Walk-Off Grand Slam [David Stefanini]

Forget all the talk you have heard about Alex Rodriquez not being able to come through in a clutch situation for the Yankees. Today A-Rod came through in the biggest of situations.

With the Yankees trailing by 1, bases loaded, 2 outs and 2 strikes in the bottom of the ninth inning at Yankee Stadium, A-Rod took a swing at a fastball. Everyone had to be thinking, oh no here we go again a strikeout in a huge situation, but not this time.

This time the ball carried to straight away center and went over the wall for a walk-off Grand Slam. This wasn't the first time he hit a home run in the game. As usual he hit a home run very early in the game. Though the home run did give the Yanks the lead, but it was typical A-Rod, early in the game he hits a home run. Before the fans left the stadium they had another home run to celebrate from A-Rod.

The Grand Slam brought the biggest smile we have ever seen on A-Rod's face since becoming a Yankee. This home run should give him the confidence he has been missing to come up in these situations again and provide a lift for the Yanks.
