No Time to Panic Yankee Fans [J. Mark English]

The New York Yankees fell to the Cleveland Indians last night 12-3. Fear not Yankee fans, no need to think that the Yankees will take an early bow from the playoffs once again.

Going back to 1995, the Yankees have been 5-0 in the ALDS when they lose the first game of the series. Conversely, when they win the first game of the series they are 2-5. Which means, that if history is an indicator of anything, the Yankees will be playing the ALCS.

Losing 12-3 may be the best thing that has happened to the Yanks since at least 2004.
