- Dwight Howard and Yao Ming are named NBA Players of the Month.

- Head coach of the Orlando Magic, Brian Hill, and Jazz coach, Jerry Sloan, have been named coaches of the month.

- Adam Morrison and Rudy Gay are named NBA Rookies of the Month.

- In case you live in a cave, Kobe Bryant scores 52 points to lead the Lakers past the Jazz.

Player of the Night:

Umm, lets see I am going to go with.... Kobe. Seeing that Kobe scored more points in the 3rd quarter than any other player scored in the entire game. He actually outscored every player, playing that night in one quarter. His final stat line was 52 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. 30 of the points were scored in the 3rd quarter alone!

Game of the Night:

Sacramento Kings visit the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs will be looking for their 12th win in a row tonight. The game can be seen on ESPN at 8:30et. I am going to pick the upset here, and go with the Kings on the road. Why? The Mavs are overdue for a bad game.
