Top Ten Father/Son Sports Duos [J. Mark English]
The website, "Ask Men", came up with their top ten father/sons sport duos. In honor of Fathers Day I'd thought I'd post the list, and let y'all decide for yourself if you agree or not.
10. Felipe Alou & Moises Alou9. Dale Earnhardt Sr. & Dale Earnhardt Jr.
8. Ken Norton Sr. & Ken Norton Jr.
7. Calvin Hill & Grant Hill
6. Archie Manning & Peyton Manning
5. Lee Petty & Richard Petty
4. Gordie & Mark Howe
3. Ken Griffey Sr. & Ken Griffey Jr.
2. Bobby Hull & Brett Hull
1. Bobby Bonds & Barry Bonds
My first reaction to this list is why in the world are the Bonds ahead of the Griffeys? I mean one of the greatest father/son moments of all time must have been when Sr. & Jr. Griffey hit back to back home run. The first and only time that a father/son duo hit back to back home runs. Also, wouldn't you have to consider Griffey Sr. a better player then Bonds? If Barroids weren't on the juice his numbers may be very similar to Griffey Jr.
As a naive Giants fan I hope that one day Eli Manning replaces Peyton on that list. There is a 99.9 % chance that this will not happen.
Otherwise I think its a pretty good list.
