Where Was the Wright Stuff in October? [J. Mark English]

David Wright of the New York Mets hits a tying two-run homer during the 9th inning of a friendly game between the major league All-Stars team and the Tokyo Yomiuri Giants in Tokyo...
Gee, Mets sure could have used some of that against the Cards. But I guess Wright wanted to save his best stuff for meaningless baseball in November.

See the ad by the way on the helmet? How long before we begin to see that in America? Or soon I guess we'll see it on the uniforms. I miss the good old days when players barely wore anything on their uniforms. As much as I dislike the Yankees, at least their uniforms have not changed much over the past century.

Sorry about the rant...

Anyway...although the Mets will not be greeted anytime soon by President Bush for congratulations on winning a championship they did get to meet with Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe:
