NBA News of the Day 12.3.2006: [David Stefanini]

- The Lakers won the battle for Las Angeles for the second time in one week's time. The Lakers beat the Clippers 97-88 last night to move their record to 11-5; first place in the Pacific Division.
- Tracy McGrady missed lasts nights game against the Cavs. He remains day-to-day.
- After last nights lose to the Bucks, Don Nelson remains 1 win shy of 1,200 for his career. Only Lenny Wilkins has made it to the 1,200 win plateau.
- The New Jersey Nets claim first place in the Atlantic Division with their win over the 76ers, the Nets were lead by Vince Carter and his 41-point performance.

Player of the Night:
Vince Carter had himself a great game last night. He recorded 41 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. More importantly he lead his Nets to a win, and first place in their division.

Game to Watch Tonight:
The T'Wolves visit the 76ers at 6:00et. I'd expect two players to show up, Allen Iverson and Kevin Garnett, and everyone to sit back and watch. Look for the 76ers to win at home.
