Your Late NIght Fix 2.7.07 [J. Mark English]

  • North Carolina Tar Heals defeated Duke at the Cameron Indoor Arena: For the second straight year, North Carolina's youngsters walked into one of college basketball's most intimidating arenas and came out with a confidence-building win....Freshman Brandan Wright scored 19 points while Tyler Hansbrough added 16 to lead the fifth-ranked Tar Heels past No. 16 Duke 79-73, earning their second straight win in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
  • No. 1 Florida topples Georgia to stretch win streak to 15.
  • Not again...Mike Tyson (kind of like past members of the 1986 Mets) is in trouble with the law again, and this time will be checking into rehap to cure various addictions.
  • Due to the violence in relations with soccer in Italy, teams there may be forced to play in front of empty stadiums.
  • I'll be flying down to Dallas tomorrow for a job interview with the Cowboys...just kidding..but seriously, the 'Boys just interviewed their tenth person for the head coaching vacancy...this time Jim Caldwell of the Colts. They also interviewed Wade Phillips. Why not interview Marv Levy? Or Tommy Lasorda?
  • Former Pacer, and current Sacremento King, Ron Artest, is in trouble with the law once again: Animal services officers seized a Great Dane from the mansion of Sacramento Kings star Ron Artest, saying the dog was underfed.
  • Miami Heat have won five in a row and suddenly are the hottest team in the league...they did so by beating the Boston Celtics, who in turn lost their 16th in a row...(wanna guess whos the coldest team in the league?)
