Soriano Will Miss 2-4 Weeks [Michael Vinciguerra]

After getting a hit and entering first base safely, the next events would leave Soriano and the Cubs devastated. A single by Ryan Theriot caused Soriano to move to second, but he wanted more. Rounding second it looked as if he would make it to third without a sweat. However, halfway there he began limping, but even while limping he still hustled. He was thrown out at third, but even worse, strained his right quadriceps and will be out 2-4 weeks.

Soriano was their all-star left-fielder, leadoff hitter, leader of the team in home runs, and an all-around great player. This is a MAJOR loss for the Cubs, or rather, a team at the edges of making the playoffs. The Cubs are currently 1 game behind the Brewers for first place in the NL Central.

Soriano was scheduled for an MRI immediately after Sunday night's game.

On a brighter note, my personal congrats to Tom Glavine for his 300th win. I am not a Mets fan, so why am I congratulating him? The answer is because I'm a Braves fan, and three quarters of those wins came when he was on the Braves.
