Buss Entertains Thoughts of Trading Kobe; Finally [David Stefanini]

This is one of the most confusing things I've seen in sports in a long while. I mean that in respect to management trading players.
A little while back Kobe Bryant came out and demanded to be traded from the Lakers. He then later said he wants to stay a Laker for life, only to later say he wants to be traded, then to come out and say he wants to stay. In other words, Kobe had no idea what he wanted.

At the time of this trade, or non-trade talk, Laker's owner Jerry Buss said he had no intention of trading Kobe. Now Buss says he "would certainly listen" to trade talks involving Kobe Bryant. So can someone please tell me what is going on with the Lakers. Do they want to keep the best player in the league, or do they want to trade him for young talent and draft picks?

Now lets assume he is going to be traded, because I think that's what is going to happen, PLEASE COME TO NEW YORK! I know that will never happen, and I know anonymous will have something to say about this; but please come to New York. The Knicks can offer Eddy Curry, Zack Randolph, Stephon Marbury, Isiah Thomas, my first born child, whatever it takes to get Kobe in a Knick's uniform.

With that said, look for Kobe to be playing in Chicago by seasons end. They have a lot of young talent, and the only other team in as good of position to trade with the Lakers are the Mavericks. However, the Lakers will not want to trade Kobe to the Western Conference, they would much rather send him to Chicago than Dallas.
