Wishful Irish Thinking [J. Mark English]

Today, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on #4 Boston College in South Bend, Indiana. Unlike previous meetings, where Notre Dame is usually ranked in the top ten, and Boston College plays the role of the spoiler, this time the roles are reversed. I would love nothing more then for Notre Dame to ruin Boston College's season with a huge upset today. Notre Dame can still make this a decent season, and a memorable one by beating BC and getting revenge for their loss to BC back in 1993, when the top ranked ND were taken down by the Eagles.

To get into the spirit of today's game we look back at one of the greatest TV intro's ever from the 1993 game between ND and Florida State:
